Regional Employee Relations Specialist – APAC

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Regional Employee Relations Specialist supporting the APAC region from our Bundang office. You will partner with Global Employment Law, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to manage employee relations matters and investigations across multiple Asian markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end employee relations investigations, from intake through interviews, analysis, and closure, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Handle complex cases such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other serious policy violations.
• Provide guidance on investigation outcomes and recommend corrective actions, including termination when appropriate.
• Advise managers on policy interpretation, discipline, misconduct, and performance management, supporting formal performance processes.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and regional stakeholders to resolve employee and manager issues across Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan and other APAC markets.
• Track and report ER case metrics, identify trends, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives for ER processes.
• Partner with Global Employment Law to deliver training and technical support to HR and managers on employee relations and performance management.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, or HR business partnering.
• Strong consulting, influencing, and coaching abilities with sound judgment on business risk.
• In‑depth knowledge of labor and employment laws in APAC countries and HR compliance principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional fluency in Mandarin or Japanese is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently, navigate complex multi‑country environments, and maintain confidentiality.
