Field Applications Engineer - PCB Design (Altium)

About the role

Renesas Electronics is looking for a Field Applications Engineer to join its Digital Channel team in Seongnam-si, South Korea. The team provides top-level technical service and support to prospects and customers, focusing on PCB design and data management. The role suits someone with little or no experience who wants to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical discovery engagements, technical sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Create and deliver technical content, both live and on demand, to support sales and marketing campaigns.
• Understand client technical and business challenges and build credibility with prospects, customers and partners.
• Help the Sales Team shorten the sales cycle and act as the main technical liaison for assigned accounts.
• Expand the sales pipeline in targeted accounts and take part in planning the closing of sales opportunities.
• Promote adoption of Altium's product portfolio by increasing subscriptions, renewals and brand loyalty.
• Keep up with technical content and the Altium product roadmap, and understand competitor products and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics or engineering; 0+ years of experience.
• Passion for Altium's corporate goals, vision, products and solutions.
• Experience creating technical content, giving technical demonstrations and presenting technical material.
• Solid understanding of PCB design, data management and cloud solutions, MCAD.
• Ability to match business needs with the right technical solution and to handle mid-level application engineering, technical support and sales tasks.
• Ability to travel domestically with short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Altium Designer or other ECAD tools.
• PCB simulation and analysis (SPICE, signal integrity, power integrity) is desirable.
• Excellent group and interpersonal communication skills.
