TSE Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a TSE Engineer to provide technical support for semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Pyeongtaek. The role involves handling escalations, ensuring fleet performance, and supporting new hardware and software installations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all technical support aspects for assigned customers, including escalations, fleet performance, system installations, improvement programs, and upgrades.
• Act as the field escalation focal point, providing documentation and support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel.
• Provide Alpha and Beta site support for installation, operation, calibration, service, and testing of new hardware, software, or processes.
• Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure data supports fixes and communicate updates to the field.
• Generate and present system performance metrics such as MTBF, MTBI, and availability, and support documentation creation.

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in technical support disciplines.
• Understands best practices and how the role integrates with other functions.
• Can lead small projects and act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, able to analyze complex issues and propose solutions.
