System Engineer - Integrated Scanner Assembly

About the role

The Integrated Scanner Assembly (ISA) organization is looking for a System Engineer to provide system-level technical leadership across the product development lifecycle. The role works with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, Quality and Program Management teams to deliver system-level quality, performance and schedule objectives. It covers requirements definition, system architecture support, technical decision-making, CPE validation and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software, Quality and Manufacturing teams, resolve ISA issues found during CPE validation, MIB and manufacturing, and lead technical communication with global teams and partners.
• Gather, prioritize and escalate requirements, ensure traceability from customer requirements to design, and support system architecture and interface definition.
• Act as the system-level technical engineer, run design and technical reviews, and help resolve critical technical issues and risks.
• Support system verification planning, carry out requirements-based V&V, check compliance with performance, reliability and quality objectives, and analyse test results to drive improvements.
• Support program teams in managing schedule, cost and technical risks, and escalate critical issues.
• Improve system engineering processes, support documentation and knowledge sharing, and evaluate emerging technologies and next-generation platforms.

Required profile

• Understanding of scanner, ADF, printer or related hardware systems.
• Knowledge of system engineering methodologies and product development processes.
• Experience with system integration and root cause analysis.
• Preferred: experience developing complex electrical, mechanical and firmware systems, NPI experience, and global product development projects.
• English sufficient for collaboration with global teams.
