Senior Marketing Specialist, Surgical Innovations

About the role

Medtronic's Surgical Innovations (SI) business develops surgical devices that support surgeons and operating room teams, covering surgical stapling, energy devices and other technologies. This Senior Marketing Specialist role supports the development and execution of marketing strategies, commercial initiatives and product launch activities across the SI portfolio in South Korea, working closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to drive market development, customer engagement and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing plans to support business growth across the Surgical Innovations portfolio.
• Lead product launch activities, including commercialization planning, market readiness and stakeholder coordination.
• Analyze market trends, customer insights and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Partner with Sales teams on market development initiatives, customer engagement programs and revenue growth.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders, surgeons, hospital stakeholders and other customers to support product adoption.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Clinical and Training & Education teams.
• Monitor backorders and supply issues, assess their business impact and communicate updates and mitigation plans to Sales.
• Manage projects, budgets, timelines and resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of marketing experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience supporting product marketing, market development, product launches or commercialization.
• Demonstrated collaboration with Sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Fluent verbal and written Korean and English.
• Preferred: experience with surgical devices, knowledge of surgical procedures and hospital purchasing, and experience managing new product launches in healthcare.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
