Junior FX Trader

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Junior FX Trader for its Seoul branch. The role provides professional trading services to clients, develops and maintains business with existing and new clients in partnership with sales to help reach the bank's revenue targets, and executes trades in the best interests of the bank and its clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the overall trading business across FX and Derivatives desks as a junior trader.
• Price, execute and hedge FX and derivatives products in response to client requests.
• Maximise profitability through active risk-taking while adhering to risk limits and product mandates.
• Develop strong capability in trading G10 and Asian currencies.
• Prepare reports for the regional head office and the risk control department.
• Manage operational and administrative tasks of the trading group.
• Comply with regulatory policies, internal controls and external regulations, and ensure marketing activities stay within the established rules.
• Balance risk and opportunity to meet individual targets, manage your own trading position and generate revenue for the bank.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree; degrees in economics, mathematics, finance and engineering are preferred.
• University graduate or up to 5 years of professional trading experience.
• Superb team player, able to work under stressful, time-critical conditions.
• Healthy risk appetite, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of FX and derivatives.
• Strong quantitative proficiency.
• Good working knowledge of industry trends, products and relevant laws and regulations.
