AML Investigation Analyst

About the role

A leading financial institution in Seoul is seeking an Anti-Money Laundering Investigation Analyst to safeguard the integrity of banking operations. The analyst conducts thorough investigations and analyses of anti-money laundering activities, working with stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse transactions related to Requests for Information (RFIs) from ODC by reviewing branch system data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Conduct sampling procedures using established methodologies and perform preliminary assessments
• Extract information from complex datasets while following regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Operations teams, and monitor RFI timelines against service level agreements in Investigation Operating Manuals
• Review customer profiles, transaction behaviour and supporting documents to spot unusual activity, red flags and financial crime risks
• Document findings and prepare clear reports, and review external regulatory inquiries such as customer and related-party screening and name matching
• Maintain investigation registers, RFI logs, case trackers and management information reports
• Share insights with colleagues, take part in AML training and engage constructively with cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong academic background, preferably supported by internships, projects or extracurricular activities
• Strong English communication skills, both within the branch and with global teams
• Ability to manage several requests at once and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
