Senior Accountant - Korea Finance Transformation

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Senior Accountant in Seoul on a hybrid basis. The role drives finance transformation initiatives in partnership with the Finance Manager, using Power Platform and AI-enabled tools to improve processes across Accounting, FP&A and Credit Control. It also owns end-to-end Korea P2P operations together with regional shared services (CG, HKFC) and the APAC CoE, delivering better efficiency, controls and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance transformation through process redesign, automation and data analytics, simplifying and standardizing transactional accounting and moving it to shared services while keeping strong governance and controls.
• Act as a digital change agent, promoting technology adoption and data-driven ways of working across Accounting, FP&A and Credit Control.
• Own the Korea P2P process, partnering with stakeholders and shared services to ensure service delivery, issue resolution and compliance, and monitor performance, exceptions and service quality.
• Own T&E governance (policy communication, employee training, reporting) and purchase VAT reconciliation and quarterly filing with the external tax agent.
• Oversee intercompany payments and monthly cash forecasting, ensuring compliance with foreign exchange regulations and monitoring IC trade balance aging.
• Manage NEXT workflow governance and system administration in line with APAC/EA DOA, and support ad-hoc analysis and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Finance/Accounting-related major.
• At least 3 years of progressive finance experience.
• Hands-on Procure-to-Pay / Accounts Payable experience.
• Demonstrated track record of process improvement with measurable results.
• Strong communication, teamwork and presentation skills, and good command of English.

Required skills

• Good understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and automation (Macros/VBA preferred).
• Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps).
• AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Project management experience.
