Full-time Victim Advocate (On‑site) – Daegu, Korea

About the role

The Victim Advocate provides 24/7 crisis intervention, emotional support, and advocacy for Soldiers, Army families, and civilians affected by domestic violence. Working on‑site in Daegu, the role ensures victims receive immediate, confidential assistance and seamless connection to community resources.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver crisis intervention, emotional support, and arrange transportation for victims.
• Accompany victims to medical, legal, or law‑enforcement appointments when requested.
• Assist in securing protective orders, emergency food, shelter, and benefits information.
• Conduct initial screening, non‑clinical risk and lethality assessments, and develop safety plans.
• Liaise with the Family Advocacy Program Manager to coordinate comprehensive victim services and training.
• Provide a warm hand‑off to community resources for victims not eligible for Military Treatment Facility services.
• Respond to victim contacts within 20 minutes by phone or 60 minutes face‑to‑face when requested.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to supporting victims of domestic abuse.
• Ability to assess imminent health or safety risks and make appropriate referrals.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with victims, first responders, and agency personnel.
• Knowledge of Army Family Advocacy Program protocols and victim‑rights regulations.
