Field Robotics Maintenance Technician

About the role

Exotec is looking for a Field Robotics Maintenance Technician based in the Seoul area. You will act as the local technical representative for Exotec in Korea, supporting customer installations, maintaining the company's demonstration center and providing hands-on technical assistance to customers and integration partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and operate Exotec robotic systems, including robots, workstations, conveyors and associated equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and monitor system health to identify improvement opportunities
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues remotely and on site
• Manage and maintain the demonstration center so it stays operational and ready for visitors
• Assist with customer demonstrations, testing and proof-of-concept projects
• Support installations, commissioning and upgrades, and give technical assistance to integration partners during deployment
• Respond quickly to critical situations and coordinate additional support when needed
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting, and travel occasionally within Korea to support customer sites

Required profile

• First professional experience in maintenance, field service, automation, robotics, mechatronics or a related technical role
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a customer-oriented, proactive approach
• Ability to read and communicate in English; Korean language proficiency required
• Technical degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related field preferred

Required skills

• Hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
• Nice to have: experience with automated warehouse systems, robotics or industrial automation
• Nice to have: knowledge of PLCs, sensors, industrial networks or control systems
• Nice to have: experience supporting customers or working in a field service environment, and experience collaborating with system integrators
