ETCH Customer Support Technician

About the role

The ETCH Customer Support Technician provides Tier I support for wafer measurement equipment, performing routine maintenance and assisting senior engineers with corrective tasks. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a clean‑room environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform standard Tier I procedures, including wafer measurement and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct wet cleans, disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit management.
• Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance and apply diagnostic techniques using test equipment.
• Maintain a neat work area, follow IP guidelines, and adhere to safety procedures.

Required profile

• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in tight, noisy clean‑room environments.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, and respirators.
• Ability to represent Applied Materials professionally with customers.
