Director, Strategic Planning & Corporate Development

About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Director, Strategic Planning & Corporate Development in Seoul. The role develops, analyzes and oversees short- and long-term strategic business processes, leads the country leadership team, and manages M&A projects and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, implement and oversee strategic business processes, and plan initiatives that improve operational efficiency and meet financial objectives.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors, economic developments and regulatory changes, and recommend strategic programs and partnership structures.
• Identify and evaluate M&A, divestiture and partnership opportunities, lead the acquisition process and integrate new businesses.
• Oversee global customer accounts, guide customers and project teams, and act as primary relationship manager for customers.
• Establish governance structures, set up project management systems and ensure delivery against milestones and contractual obligations.
• Manage budgets and recommend objectives and long-term plans to maximize financial returns on clinical and commercial programs.
• Support annual planning, special projects and strategic planning aligned with Marketing, Consulting and Sales.

Required profile

• 15+ years of relevant experience in strategy, business development or a related field.
• Management consulting and/or corporate strategy experience highly preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or familiarity with IQVIA services is a plus.
• Fluency in both Korean and English is required.
