Finance Controller

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is looking for a Finance Controller in Gyeonggi. The role requires a strong accounting and financial control foundation, with FP&A and business partnering capabilities also important. It leads accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audits and compliance, and works with business units, regional and global finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee accounting operations in line with IFRS, local statutory requirements and SGS policies, and own monthly, quarterly and annual closing
• Review and approve financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, provisions and accruals
• Establish and maintain internal controls, and lead internal and external audits, tax compliance and financial governance
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury activities and credit risk, and ensure timely tax filings and regulatory reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, and partner with business units to improve performance
• Drive finance process optimization, ERP implementation and digital transformation, and build and lead a finance team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent highly preferred
• 12-15 years of progressive finance experience, including accounting, reporting, control, audit and compliance
• Proven leadership of accounting and finance teams in a multinational, with experience in financial closing, statutory reporting and external audit management
• Experience partnering with business leaders and hands-on ERP implementation or finance transformation experience highly preferred
• Fluent Korean and English
