Project Manager - Safety and Motions, Active Safety Controls

About the role

AUMOVIO, the spin-off of the former Continental Automotive sector, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Customer Project Manager in Safety and Motions, Active Safety Controls. You will oversee the planning, execution and delivery of complex projects while managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The company is based in Frankfurt, Germany, and operates in the automotive technology and electronics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Define and ensure project objectives and set up the project organisation
• Set up the project plan, track progress and define corrective measures when the plan is deviated from
• Control the project budget and resources
• Report the overall project status (financial and quality KPIs) and escalate issues when necessary
• Represent the project in customer (internal and external) meetings and negotiate changes and claims with the customer
• Identify, analyse and mitigate project risks and implement contingency plans
• Lead team members functionally, assign work packages and manage stakeholder expectations
• Build a supportive culture of cooperation and teamwork within the project

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry
• Experience as a technical or discipline project leader on at least one completed project
• 3 years as a project team member, or evidence of strong leadership or entrepreneurial skills
• Experience working in an international team
• Excellent spoken and written English
