Installation Customer Engineer – Field Service

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer) you will be the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading semiconductor equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and ensure optimal performance of complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment, covering electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, applying diagnostic techniques with guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and customers to understand roadmaps, process flows and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field‑service experience or trade certification.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Required skills

• Pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electronics, vacuum systems and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
