GTM Partnerships Manager, SME & Growth, Korea

About the role

Airwallex's SME & Growth Business team supports small and medium-sized enterprises with tailored cross-border payment solutions. The GTM Partnerships team drives new customer acquisition through strategic partners and builds scalable partnership models. This role focuses on cross-border e-commerce ecosystems, government agencies and corporate secretarial firms, turning institutional relationships into customer onboarding opportunities for Korean businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deepen partnerships with government agencies, associations and ecosystem organizations to generate leads.
• Develop structured collaboration plans that turn institutional partnerships into onboarding opportunities.
• Lead joint initiatives such as seminars, workshops, webinars, campaigns, referral programs and member education sessions.
• Work with external institutions to understand member needs and position Airwallex as a practical solution for cross-border growth.
• Drive partnership discussions from relationship building to execution, including collaboration frameworks and formal partnership agreements where relevant.
• Build repeatable partner motions so partners consistently introduce and onboard qualified businesses.
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, product and operations teams to ensure partnership programs deliver measurable results.

Required profile

• Experience managing partnerships with government agencies, associations or ecosystem organizations.
• Understanding of how institutions support Korean businesses in commerce, exports, fintech or international expansion.
• Ability to turn high-trust external relationships into scalable commercial outcomes and customer onboarding.
• Comfortable navigating multiple stakeholders and running partnership programs with discipline.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with organizations such as KITA, KOTRA, fintech associations, beauty associations or chambers of commerce.
• Experience leading or supporting MOU discussions and formalizing partnership frameworks.
• Experience in programs supporting Korean companies expanding overseas.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange, cross-border business operations or overseas entity setup.
