ETCH Customer Support Technician

About the role

Join Applied Materials as an ETCH Customer Support Technician, providing Tier I support for wafer measurement and equipment maintenance in a clean‑room environment.

Key responsibilities

• Performs standard Tier I procedures including wafer measurement.
• Performs preventative maintenance and wet cleans independently.
• Assists senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.
• Disassembles, cleans and rebuilds kits as part of kit management quality.
• Learns and applies diagnostic techniques and uses documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.
• Able to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
• Uses knowledge management systems and follows all IP guidelines.
• Provides professional customer service while maintaining a neat and orderly work area.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role requiring extensive walking, standing, lifting up to 35 lbs, and ability to work in tight spaces, clean‑room environments, and noisy conditions.
• Must use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
