EBS Function Application Engineer - Active Safety Controls R&D

About the role

AUMOVIO, spun off from the Continental Automotive group in September 2025, is looking for an EBS (Electronic Brake System) Function Application Engineer for its Active Safety Controls R&D team in Korea. The role covers tuning and testing of electronic brake functions at proving grounds and test courses, homologation validation and customer joint vehicle tests.

Key responsibilities

• EBS function application and tuning at proving ground/test courses, such as ABS, AYC, TCS, HSA, ACC, AVH, EPB and ADAS-related functions
• Analyse function requirements based on system requirements
• Carry out homologation test validation (FMVSS 126, UNECE R13 and others)
• Take part in customer joint vehicle tests (Hm/Lm, winter tests in Sweden and New Zealand) including series sign-off
• Manage the vehicle test plan and status, create test cases and write reports
• Run vehicle-level release tests and functional safety tests
• Interface with global teams (Germany, India, Hungary) on technical information for each function
• Act as customer interface for EBS basic functions and coordinate ESC function requirements with the customer

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering
• Experience in the automotive industry; HKMC project experience as a brake system application engineer is preferred
• Good level of driving skill; vehicle test experience preferred
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
