Etch Process Support Engineer

About the role

The Etch Process Support Engineer will guide semiconductor process equipment through its full lifecycle, from concept to qualification, providing on‑site customer support, system diagnostics, and complex equipment repair.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑visibility support on‑site, including installations, system diagnoses, and repair of advanced etch and deposition tools.
• Collaborate with customers and R&D teams to develop cutting‑edge processes for advanced semiconductor chips, creating hypothesis experiments and design‑of‑experiments (DOE) studies.
• Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and compile reports with high‑level conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues, perform root‑cause analyses, and resolve challenging customer product problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a semiconductor fab or equipment environment.
• Strong communication proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Plasma Reactive Ion Etch (RIE), Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), Anneal and Implant processes.
• Experience designing and executing DOE studies and applying statistical analysis to process data.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and develop technical reports.
