FEP Customer Support Technician

About the role

The FEP Customer Support Technician provides Tier I technical assistance for semiconductor equipment, performing wafer measurements, preventative maintenance, and wet cleaning. This role works on‑site in Hwaseong‑Lucestar, supporting customers while adhering to clean‑room protocols and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute standard Tier I procedures, including wafer measurement and wet cleaning.
• Perform preventative maintenance independently and assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance.
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit‑management quality control.
• Apply diagnostic techniques and use test equipment with guidance from senior staff.
• Maintain professional customer service, represent Applied Materials, and follow IP and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Physically capable of extensive walking, standing, lifting up to 35 lb, and working in clean‑room attire.
• Ability to work in noisy environments and use hand/power tools safely.
• Understanding of how the support team integrates with broader engineering functions.
• Problem‑solving skills to resolve typical technical issues without supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
