Programme Management Officer

About the role

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is seeking a Programme Management Officer to support its Global Education Training Institute (GETI) in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The role focuses on building partnerships, developing training modules, and contributing to knowledge management for disaster risk reduction in North‑East Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Build partnerships with experts and key stakeholders in disaster risk reduction across North‑East Asia.
• Support the creation of a community of practice and promote best practices among regional countries.
• Collaborate with the Knowledge Management section to capture good practices and case studies for capacity‑building programmes and advocacy.
• Develop and implement training modules on the Sendai Framework, aligned with the 2030 Agenda, Paris Agreement, and New Urban Agenda.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve the impact of training modules.
• Contribute to UNDRR’s global capacity‑development strategy and support implementation and monitoring of the Sendai Framework.

Required profile

• Experience in partnership building and stakeholder engagement in disaster risk reduction.
• Background in developing and delivering training programmes at regional or international levels.
• Familiarity with knowledge management processes and documentation of best practices.
• Ability to monitor and evaluate programme outcomes and propose improvements.
• Understanding of the Sendai Framework, 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Paris Agreement, and New Urban Agenda.
