Technical Instructor - EBEAM Tools

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Technical Instructor within its KLA Services team (Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training and Technical Support). The instructor works with senior instructors, NPI engineers, manufacturing engineers and PSO team members to train field engineers, technical support engineers, install engineers and external customers on the assigned tools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical training on service, maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting, and develop training material, plans and certification plans
• Review engineering documentation, procedures and specifications, and validate service procedures and documentation
• Lead training projects, run review meetings with stakeholders, track risks, resources and progress, and keep action trackers and documentation
• Create training content and videos, including remote training, web-based modules, augmented reality models and simulations
• Learn and use new software and tools to build high-quality learning materials
• Maintain the assigned tools, perform regular health checks, preventive and corrective maintenance and upgrades
• Monitor errors and changes in documentation and give corrective feedback to technical writers

Required profile

• Master's degree or 2 years of work experience, or bachelor's degree or 3 years of work experience
• Proven track record supporting install, service, tool building, manufacturing or technical support activities on KLA tools
• Prior experience in technical training, mentoring junior engineers or similar is a plus
• Strong written and verbal English, able to communicate with an international audience

• Strong documentation skills and ability to turn technical sources into systematic training material
• Independent decision-making and ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple managers
• Preferred experience with EBEAM tools
