Senior Marketing Manager, Korea

About the role

Airwallex is looking for a strategic, resourceful and market-savvy Senior Marketing Manager to lead marketing in Korea, its first marketing hire there. As the first marketing person in Korea, you will shape and execute the go-to-market and brand strategy locally, working closely with global and regional marketing teams, the Head of SME & Growth, and the sales, product and PR/comms teams. You will also manage and mentor a Marketing Executive (contractor) and will suit someone who builds a market from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Own the marketing strategy and annual plan for Korea, aligned with APAC and global objectives, and partner with commercial teams on integrated campaigns
• Develop and run an events strategy with the regional field marketing team, and support partnerships with associations, affiliates and ecosystem partners
• Localise global and regional campaigns, and lead the creation and localisation of content such as customer stories, blogs, social media, web copy and email
• Develop and run an Account-Based Marketing strategy for enterprise, mid-market and large SME accounts, tracking ABM metrics and optimising ROI
• Work with PR and comms teams on local stories, spokespeople, press releases and thought leadership
• Track brand awareness, lead generation and campaign ROI, manage the Korea marketing budget and coordinate vendors, internal stakeholders and the Marketing Executive
• Lead complex projects such as product launches and major events, and resolve issues proactively

Required profile

• 6+ years of marketing experience, with proven success in Korea's B2B or tech sectors
• Experience managing integrated campaigns across multiple channels and managing vendors, agencies or outsourced teams
• Experience in event planning and management, and in mentoring junior team members
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Fluent in both Korean and English
