MEP Cost Manager / Senior Cost Manager (Bilingual English-Korean)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Cost Manager or MEP Senior Cost Manager in Seoul who speaks both English and Korean. The role manages the core cost management services for construction projects, ensuring cost control and quality objectives are met while meeting client needs through an effective cost management service. It involves leading a team, acting as the main day-to-day client interface and overseeing cost planning, reporting and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Line management of cost managers and team members, including interviews, performance reviews and resource planning against the business pipeline
• Act as the key client interface and lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Develop cost benchmarks, establish cost reporting structures and control mechanisms, and present monthly post-contract cost reports
• Manage estimating and cost planning, including final revisions of cost plans, and lead value engineering and life cycle costing exercises
• Implement cost controls within schedule, cost, risk and change management, and monitor budgets and variations
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract administration, and manage internal risk procedures and the contract database
• Manage invoicing in D-365, validating invoices, coordinating with finance and tracking status

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• At least 5 years' experience in cost management or construction projects
• Native-level proficiency in the local language and business-level English
• Experience from an MEP QS background is preferred

Required skills

• Strong understanding of quantity surveying tools and methodologies
• Proficiency in Cost-X or equivalent cost estimation software
