Assistant MEP Cost Manager (Bilingual English/Korean)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring an Assistant MEP Cost Manager in Seoul. As a Cost Manager, you manage the core cost management services for construction projects, ensuring cost control and quality objectives are met while meeting client objectives through an effective cost management service. The role is bilingual (English and Korean).

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate projects, with in-depth knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract cost management.
• Estimate, analyse rates and plan costs, developing and presenting final cost plans to clients.
• Handle tendering and procurement: pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and contractual documents.
• Manage post-contract cost variances and support change control, referring major changes to the reporting manager.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and support their presentation to the client.
• Contribute to Value Engineering exercises and interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
• Improve cost management procedures, templates and products, and feed lessons learned into the company's internal database.
• Work as a member of the cost management team, including taking responsibility for Assistant Cost Managers where appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in cost management or construction projects.
• Native-level Korean and business-level English.
• Experience in MEP QS work is preferred.
