Junior Associate Acoustics Engineer

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for a Junior Associate Acoustics Engineer in Seoul, Korea. The engineer designs, develops and integrates audio systems and speaker components into vehicles, applying HARMAN's brand technologies to create automotive audio systems. The role is hybrid, with most office-based work three days a week onsite, and supports global product launch timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and install custom class A parts and wiring into cars
• Perform basic acoustic integration of product materials
• Support main audio tuning through vehicle test and measurement
• Handle warning sound and electrical sound tuning (objective and subjective)
• Manage measurement tools and car lab
• Carry out EQ checks in the car before software release (objective and subjective)

Required profile

• Associate's degree or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in at least two of: psycho-acoustics and recording arts, car audio, automotive fabrication, sound system design, room acoustics, music technology, electrical technician
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Able to obtain and maintain the required clearance or access approval for customer programs
