Buildings and Systems Engineering Specialist (Conveyor Maintenance)

About the role

UPS Korea is looking for a Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Specialist to support the stability and efficiency of its logistics hub and facilities at Incheon International Airport Cargo Terminal C. The role keeps conveyor systems and other automated equipment running safely and reliably while ensuring environmental and safety compliance. It is a permanent position, Tuesday to Saturday 8:00-17:00, subject to changes according to the facility schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain conveyor equipment and buildings, and provide daily technical support including maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), safety, compliance, purchasing, contracts, RFAs and POs, and system troubleshooting.
• Analyze root causes of conveyor performance issues and troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust conveyor systems.
• Respond to breakdowns, review daily equipment condition reports, and dispatch field-support vendors and mechanics.
• Supervise mechanics and contractors, manage parts ordering and inventory, and support project management for conveyor installations and facility modifications.
• Manage project budgets, prepare estimates, drawings and bid documents, and fairly award contracts for construction, procurement, installation and housekeeping.
• Support facility safety and environmental programs: assess needs, train local staff, audit compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Support facility housekeeping oversight and bid and award housekeeping contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, construction management or a similar discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in conveyor system installation or maintenance management (3 years preferred).
• Fluent spoken and written English and Korean.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting, adapt to changing shifts, and lift up to 32 kg unassisted.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams is an asset.
• Knowledge of PLCs and electrical controls, and experience with IBM Maximo, Coupa and Oracle, are assets.
• Experience with articulating-boom lifts, scissor lifts and forklifts is an asset.
