Finance Accountant (Banking)

About the role

ING Bank N.V. Seoul Branch is hiring a Finance Accountant, reporting to the CFO, Korea. The role covers internal reporting to head office or region office, local regulatory reporting, and daily and monthly closing. It also involves taking part in projects and new initiatives and supporting business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare internal reports submitted to head office or region office and handle local regulatory reporting returns to stakeholders
• Oversee daily and monthly closing and general accounting processing
• Take part in projects and new initiatives and lead them, implementing ING's business strategy and policy
• Analyse the impact of new accounting implementations and new products
• Liaise with region finance and region tax, the external auditor and tax firms
• Monitor head office reporting and local regulatory reporting returns
• Review daily and monthly closing and guide junior staff
• Ensure full compliance with internal and regulatory rules

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the banking industry
• Proven analytical capability, proactive mindset and strong curiosity
• Excellent communication in Korean and English, able to work in a bilingual environment
• High level of commitment, ownership and accountability

Required skills

• Strong expertise in accounting for financial instruments
• In-depth understanding of IFRS 9 standards
