Clean Energy Infrastructure Investment Manager

About the role

Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA, is seeking a senior professional to lead origination, acquisition, financing and divestment of renewable energy assets in South Korea. The role will serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on clean‑energy investments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and competition analysis and define capital deployment strategy for solar, on‑shore/off‑shore wind and storage projects.
• Lead origination and execution of acquisitions, mergers, project finance and divestitures, managing a small internal team and external advisors.
• Oversee financial modelling, investment committee proposals and negotiations with co‑investors, lenders and EPC contractors.
• Manage relationships with South Korean co‑investors, developers, NGOs, utilities and regulators.
• Supervise portfolio operations, act as board member or director of investee companies, and monitor asset performance.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of relevant experience in South Korea, with a strong project‑finance background in power and renewable energy.
• Proven track record in originating and closing renewable‑energy transactions, including joint‑development agreements.
• Native Korean speaker with fluent English.
• Experience leading small investment teams and managing external advisors.

• M&A execution and negotiation.
• Understanding of South Korean renewable‑energy market, regulations and tariffs.
