Buildings & Systems Engineering Specialist (Conveyor Maintenance)

About the role

The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Specialist supports the protection and reliable operation of UPS facilities and material‑handling equipment. This role focuses on conveyor system maintenance, safety compliance, and project execution within UPS Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain conveyor equipment and building infrastructure, including preventive maintenance (PMI) scheduling.
• Provide daily technical support for conveyor operations, troubleshoot performance issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis using system analysis tools.
• Communicate with the BaSE Supervisor and Operations Management to reduce defects and equipment downtime.
• Respond to breakdown calls, dispatch field‑support vendors, and supervise mechanics/contractors during repairs.
• Manage parts ordering, inventory, and budget for projects, ensuring work stays within approved funds.
• Assist with project management tasks for conveyor installations and facility modifications, including preparing estimates, drawings, and bid documents.
• Oversee safety and environmental program compliance, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate housekeeping contractors and create detailed bid packages.

Required profile

• Technical knowledge of material‑handling and conveyor systems.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations.
• Ability to manage projects, budgets, and vendor contracts.
• Experience ensuring safety and environmental compliance in an industrial setting.
