Technical Product Manager - Reverse Vending Machines

About the role

TOMRA, a global provider of collection and sorting systems for the circular economy, is hiring a Technical Product Manager (기술 책임자) for its Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) in Korea. The role is based in Hanam-si, under the Managing Director of TOMRA Collection Korea, and manages three people. It acts as the key technical contact for product performance, troubleshooting, service coordination and parts inventory, aiming for high equipment uptime and excellent customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the local product expert for TOMRA RVMs, monitoring connectivity and system events to spot technical issues early
• Investigate machine performance problems and evaluate and test new RVM models, hardware and software
• Share technical guidance with field technicians and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate daily service activities with field technicians and service partners, and plan field visits, preventive maintenance, repairs and service calls
• Support service requests and repair tracking, and keep customers, service staff and internal teams aligned
• Analyze repair needs, manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are available
• Support product validation and testing, recommend fixes for recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement of machine reliability and service efficiency
• Maintain service records, repair documentation and inventory data, and prepare reports on technical issues, service activity and inventory status

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, computer science or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in technical support, product support, field service or service operations
• Korean and English communication skills
• Preferred: experience with automated equipment, vending systems, recycling solutions, IoT devices or similar technologies
