Raw Materials Planner

About the role

Sika Korea is looking to strengthen its Supply Chain team with a Raw Materials Planner. The role ensures the timely availability of raw materials needed for production while keeping inventory levels optimal and supply chain costs low. It reports to the Supply Chain Manager and covers raw materials planning across all factories and sites in Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Plan raw material replenishment based on production schedules, demand forecasts, inventory levels and supplier lead times, using the ERP system and bills of materials
• Monitor material availability, identify shortages and excess inventory, and adjust safety stocks, reorder points and lot sizes
• Work with Procurement to create purchase requisitions and orders, follow up on deliveries and suggest alternative sourcing when needed
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete or at-risk inventory and support inventory counting, stock reconciliation and expiry management
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, QC, Logistics and Finance, and communicate shortages and delivery risks to production planners
• Maintain planning data in the ERP, report key performance indicators and analyse consumption, forecast accuracy and supplier delivery performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in materials planning, production planning, inventory management or a related supply chain role
• Experience in a chemicals or manufacturing environment preferred
• Good understanding of MRP, inventory management, procurement and production scheduling
• Very good English skills

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP (highly desirable)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; reporting and data visualization tools are an advantage
• Numerical and analytical skills, accuracy in planning data and inventory records
