Procurement Manager

About the role

Sika Korea Ltd., the subsidiary of Sika AG in Korea, is hiring a Procurement Manager. The role leads the procurement business of Sika Korea directly reporting to the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain, Korea, and functionally reports to the APAC Area Procurement Manager. Sika is a specialty chemicals company active in the building and automotive sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the procurement strategy for Sika Korea, drive cost reduction, supply security and risk management, and promote procurement governance and best practices.
• Lead purchasing operations, including PR, PO, invoice and payment coordination, and resolve operational issues with suppliers, Finance, Shared Services and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver annual savings and productivity targets, track procurement KPIs, supplier performance, process efficiency and working capital metrics, and provide market intelligence and procurement reporting to local and regional management.
• Lead sourcing for raw materials, packaging, CAPEX, indirect spend, logistics and services, and manage supplier selection, qualification, contract negotiations and performance evaluation.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships, identify localization opportunities, and support new product introductions, plant projects and business growth with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality and Commercial teams.
• Act as the key procurement interface between local, regional and global teams, ensure compliance with Sika policies and the code of conduct, and support sustainability and ESG initiatives in the supply base.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical or commercial fields.
• Procurement management experience in manufacturing, chemical, automotive, industrial or construction-related industries.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and cost management.
• Multinational environment experience preferred; team leadership experience is an advantage.
• Fluent Korean and business English.
