About the role
Cognite is seeking a Principal Field Engineer to act as a technical liaison for key industrial clients, driving solution development and adoption of Cognite Data Fusion® across complex environments.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with clients, aligning on integration architectures, technical roadmaps and solution value.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to identify and prioritize opportunities, creating scalable, repeatable solutions.
- Educate customers through demos, reference architectures and workshops, and serve as the technical escalation point for complex engagements.
- Translate client feedback into actionable product requirements and provide market insights to the product organization.
- Mentor junior field engineers and promote best‑practice frameworks and reference architectures.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, field engineering or technical pre‑sales, preferably in enterprise SaaS or industrial software.
- Strong client‑facing skills with a proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of industrial data, OT/IT convergence and cloud/hybrid data platforms.
Required skills
- Python programming
- Experience with major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
