Order Engineer

About the role

The Order Engineer is responsible for managing customer projects from hand‑over to successful contract fulfillment, ensuring technical specifications, schedules, cost control and resource management are met.

Key responsibilities

• Take over confirmed orders from Sales, clarify deviations between shipyard specifications and Alfa Laval standards, and hand over requirements to Order Processing.
• Prepare, review and finalize P&ID drawings, submit approval drawings to customers, and manage drawing approvals and related correspondence.
• Monitor material logistics via the Axapta ERP system, lead tracking meetings and expedite short shipments.
• Support commissioning by following up on missing or delayed materials, issuing commissioning start to After‑Sales, and handling non‑conformance reports.

Required profile

• 3+ years of relevant experience in project management or engineering, preferably in the marine and diesel industry.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with P&ID drawing preparation and modification.
• Proficiency in Axapta (ERP) system for material tracking.
• Project management and engineering expertise in marine/diesel contexts.
