Facultative Leader – Korea (Senior Vice President)

About the role

Guy Carpenter is seeking a senior leader to drive its Korean facultative reinsurance business. Based in Seoul, you will shape business development, manage market relationships and mentor a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage revenue for the Korean facultative business, including new client acquisition and program design.
• Lead relationships with reinsurance markets, prepare client and reinsurer presentations, and oversee market submissions and execution.
• Ensure compliance and high‑quality documentation throughout the business process.
• Collaborate with global Guy Carpenter experts, brokers, technical support and placement teams.
• Mentor, develop and train the local team and provide technical training to clients and colleagues.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in facultative/property‑and‑casualty broking, focused on reinsurance.
• Strong track record in the Korean facultative market with existing insurer relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management or a related field.
• Customer‑focused, self‑motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Korean.
• Proven leadership experience in growing and managing teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to leverage digital tools and technology for business processes.
