Director, AIx Field Service Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior leader to head the AIx Field Service Engineering team in Bundang. Reporting to the Regional SPO Head, you will drive digital transformation of the Field Service Organization, ensuring the team delivers advanced diagnostics, predictive insights and productivity improvements for semiconductor manufacturing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance AIx team capabilities and drive adoption of actionable insights across the field organization.
• Formulate and implement strategies that enable advanced troubleshooting, reduce service hours and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with regional and global cross‑functional teams to define project scopes, pilot initiatives and meet KPI targets.
• Provide leadership advice on data analytics value, opportunities and strategic approaches.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing automation or field service engineering, with people‑management experience.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous situations, lead change and influence stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker who uses data‑driven insights to drive organizational objectives.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with FSO, sales, digital enablement and other internal groups.
