About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Republic of Korea is looking for a Communications Intern to support its Project Support Unit. This short‑term position offers hands‑on experience in media and communications within a UN‑affiliated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the National Media and Communications Officer.
- Assist in creating and managing content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube).
- Support marketing communications activities, including basic graphic design and video editing tasks.
- Prepare and edit documents using standard office software.
Required profile
- Korean citizenship, aged 20‑34.
- Enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s programme, a graduate programme, or a recent graduate (must start internship within one year of graduation).
- Bachelor’s degree (or ongoing studies) in Communications, Media, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Content Production, International Relations, International Development, or a related field.
Required skills
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and YouTube.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools (advantageous).
- Proficiency with standard office software such as MS Word.
