Metrology Algorithm Developer – R&D TCT Korea

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Korea‑based expert to develop and support Metrology eBeam (SEM) algorithms within the R&D Technology and Collaboration Team (TCT). You will work on cutting‑edge computer‑vision, machine‑learning and deep‑learning solutions that improve measurement reliability for semiconductor and display customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and test algorithms in large systems, considering both hardware and software aspects.
• Collaborate with PDC, AMIND, applications, physics and qualification groups to meet customer requirements.
• Provide on‑site algorithm support, diagnostics, troubleshooting and training for customer applications.
• Perform C&F for CIP, conduct preliminary research for next‑generation features, and beta‑test at customer sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree with >3 years hands‑on experience in computer‑vision and image‑processing algorithms.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics and algorithmic development using MATLAB and Python.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
