Korean-Japanese Curriculum Designer (6-month Contract)

About the role

Speak is seeking a contract Curriculum Designer/Content Writer to develop Korean‑Japanese language learning content for its AI‑powered tutoring app. The position is a 6‑month remote contract, focused on creating culturally relevant, pedagogically sound materials for Korean speakers learning Japanese.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Korean‑Japanese curriculum and high‑priority content projects from planning through launch.
• Develop, edit, and localize engaging learning materials that align with Speak’s brand philosophy.
• Iterate and improve content based on QA, user testing, feedback, and peer review.
• Leverage AI‑enabled workflows and modern tools to streamline production and prototype new ideas.

Required profile

• Native‑level Korean proficiency with strong cultural intuition for the Korean market.
• Near‑native Japanese proficiency (spoken and written).
• At least 3 years of experience designing Japanese language curriculum or content for Korean adult learners in an EdTech setting.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and communicate clearly on scope and trade‑offs.
• Based in Korea and able to commit to a 6‑month remote contract (extension possible).
