Content Localization Specialist – Traditional Chinese & Japanese

About the role

We are seeking a multilingual superstar to localize in‑app learning and marketing content for the Traditional Chinese market and to create high‑quality Japanese content under guidance. The role is contract‑based, remote, and supports our AI‑powered language tutoring platform.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and localize Traditional Chinese‑Japanese content for lessons and marketing, ensuring pedagogical accuracy.
• Design and write in‑app learning materials such as lesson scripts, activities, and vocabulary lists for Japanese learners.
• Support content‑related projects, including uploading scripts, QAing lessons, and coordinating operations.
• Communicate clearly with international team members, follow manager directions, and maintain end‑to‑end project visibility.

Required profile

• Native Traditional Chinese and native or near‑native Japanese writing and speaking skills.
• Deep understanding of both languages and the current state of Japanese learning for Traditional Chinese speakers.
• Proven experience in Traditional Chinese‑Japanese translation and localization.
• Background in Japanese teaching, language pedagogy, or curriculum design.
• Great attention to detail, strong sense of ownership, and passion for technology‑assisted language learning.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Fast learner, team player, skilled communicator, and creative problem‑solver.
