Systems Engineer - Materials Handling

About the role

Dematic (KION Group) is looking for a Systems Engineer to join its team in Korea and support the APAC region. The role applies systems engineering methodology to project technical baselines and promotes innovation and improvement in systems engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Execute systems engineering processes and procedures to deliver successful project outcomes
• Write technical documents, including system and subsystem specifications, to manage the technical baseline of all systems
• Run on-site tests during commissioning of highly automated materials handling equipment, coordinating multi-disciplinary resources
• Maintain relationships with project stakeholders such as customers, project managers and engineering teams
• Support project managers so that systems engineering integrity is maintained throughout the project
• Provide systems engineering expertise for project, sales and R&D activities
• Promote group standards, innovation, risk identification and safety management
• Ensure a complete handover to the customer service team after go-live

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of experience designing and commissioning materials handling, WMS/WCS, order fulfillment and warehouse automation systems
• Experience delivering complex materials handling systems
• Fluent written and spoken English and Korean
• Work rights in Korea are mandatory

• Systems engineering and multi-disciplinary project management best practices
• System design, material flow and throughput concepts across mechanical, electrical/controls and software engineering
• Programming and database analytics
• Reporting and analytics experience is an advantage
