Logistics Manager - Korea

About the role

Diageo is hiring a Logistics Manager for its Icheon plant in South Korea. The role covers all logistics activities in Diageo Korea, including customs forwarding, warehousing, rework and domestic customer order delivery, and runs the customer service scope such as on-time delivery, logistics communication and supply network optimisation. It sits within the MOVE Centre of Excellence and partners with regional stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics operations and deliver strategic objectives against key measurements.
• Handle customer and consumer complaints, coordinating with product traceability, equipment and reverse logistics.
• Propose, manage and control the operational expenditure budget (move cost) with Supply Finance, procurement and other stakeholders, and review logistics costs regularly.
• Review and manage inventory levels and logistics RCCP according to the yearly AOP, and act as ad hoc project manager to drive productivity and savings.
• Manage logistics processes based on Diageo best practice, implement controls assurance and risk management, and comply with Korean local regulations.
• Implement Diageo standards in customs clearance, transportation and warehousing, and manage the 3PL provider effectively.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, carbon footprint management and sustainability initiatives, and run innovation projects such as route-to-customer and warehouse supply network design.
• Collaborate closely with the APAC Planning and Logistics team and market stakeholders, and manage one headcount.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; logistics background preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, specifically transportation and warehousing.
• Proven track record of leading business improvement and transformation projects.
• Effective bilingualism in English and Korean.

Required skills

• SAP system knowledge is a must-have.
• Critical thinking and ability to manage large databases and multiple systems at once.
