Surgical Field Service Engineer

About the role

Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is seeking a Surgical Field Service Engineer to join its service team in Seoul/Gyeonggi. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing advanced surgical equipment, ensuring customers receive prompt, professional support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, professional responses to meet customer needs and satisfaction.
• Communicate daily with customers and ensure required parts are available for repairs.
• Control spare‑parts inventory levels in trunk inventory.
• Test repaired instruments in all operating modes and verify compliance with Alcon specifications.
• Install retrofits and instruct customers on benefits and changes.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and consult management on chronic or unusual problems.
• Submit complete paperwork promptly and comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
• Report adverse events and technical complaints according to SOPs.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent; preferably a B.A. in an electronics‑related field.
• Fluent in written and spoken Korean and English.
• Experience in college projects related to electronics, computer, physics, or robotics.
• 1‑3 years of field experience with electronic medical equipment (or 5+ years with non‑medical equipment).
