Sr. Manager, Sales Development - Seoul

About the role

Databricks, a Data and AI company, is looking for an experienced strategic sales leader to manage and grow its Seoul-based Business Development team and expand its South Korean business. Reporting to the Director, Sales Development, you will contribute to the sales leadership team and lead recruiting, pipeline generation and consumption growth strategy, and coach the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the building and scaling of the team
• Shape the pipeline generation strategy within Korea
• Create strategies to accelerate new customer acquisition and consumption growth
• Manage the team's pipeline targets and coach members to success
• Work with cross-functional regional leaders to maximise the team's contribution
• Analyse team performance and funnel data to identify and fix inefficiencies

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Sales Development manager with consistent overachievement against quota
• Experience in a quota-carrying, end-to-end sales role with consistent overachievement
• Experience growing a sales development team by recruiting and developing BDRs
• Native Korean and business-level English; English is used regularly with regional and global stakeholders
• Experience in value selling, prospecting and opportunity qualification
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and lead through ambiguity
• Passion for cloud, big data and AI
