Senior Field Service Engineer – Daejeon/Chungnam

About the role

Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to support customers in the Daejeon and Chungnam region of South Korea. You will ensure that surgical and vision‑care instruments operate at peak performance, providing both scheduled maintenance and rapid response to emergency calls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs according to contract terms.
• Test repaired instruments in all operating modes to verify compliance with Alcon specifications.
• Install retrofits and train customers on new features and benefits.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive communication with clients, sales, and internal teams.
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and customer feedback to appropriate internal personnel.
• Manage spare‑part inventory, ensuring timely return of cores and meeting inventory turn goals.
• Promote Alcon services, capture service revenue, and identify commercial opportunities.
• Support GMP/QMS compliance and local regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an electronic or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of field experience with electronic medical equipment.
• Fluent in Korean; English proficiency preferred.
• Strong track record of customer service and technical problem solving.
