Senior Business Analyst, Treasury Markets Systems Planning

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Analyst/Assistant Vice President, Systems Planning, Senior Business Analyst for its Seoul branch, covering treasury markets. The role manages branch IT development items based on an in-depth understanding of branch and headquarters strategy, leads IT projects across branch, region and head office, and acts as a senior business analyst for local systems, coordinating branch business requirements with vendors and regional and HQ stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and promote strategic system initiatives based on branch and headquarters strategy and policy, and establish systems and system platforms
• Lead IT projects by cooperating with counterparts in the branch, region and head office, and support the team leader with technical guidance
• Deliver clear and accurate reports to the branch, headquarters IT team leader and head office to support decision-making
• Manage IT costs (expense and investment) and minimize penalties from system and cyber security incidents
• Develop and improve products and services for corporate customers of the MUFG Seoul branch
• Share information on headquarters policy and cyber security risks proactively, and educate colleagues
• Contribute to system development process management, systemization policy identification and project selection, stable system operation and incident response

Required profile

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience managing IT development items and projects, with fluent technical experience, especially on market (treasury) products
• In-depth understanding of mid- to long-term IT technology trends in the financial sector
• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for financial IT operations
• Experience with system infrastructure management (databases, networks, servers, PCs, server rooms)
• Proficiency in outsourcing management, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and performance monitoring
• Expertise in cyber security, information security and risk management in the financial industry
• Bachelor's degree; business-level Japanese and English, or English and Korean
