Branch Manager and Client Acquisition - GlobalLINK Seoul, VP

About the role

State Street is looking for a Branch Manager and Client Acquisition for GlobalLINK Seoul, VP, to oversee the GlobalLINK platform teams in South Korea. The role covers branch performance and governance, strategic leadership of the GlobalLINK business in Korea, client acquisition, platform delivery and controls, and partnerships with regulators, clients and internal stakeholders. The position requires 5 days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and lead overall branch performance to achieve business objectives, grow the business and strengthen client relationships.
• Implement, develop, monitor and maintain governance frameworks, including board and committee oversight, policies and procedures, and the management of frameworks supporting regulatory requirements of the legal entity.
• Understand relevant laws, regulations and compliance standards such as local regulations and financial reporting requirements.
• Lead and direct a high-performing branch team.
• Analyse market trends, identify leads, present the product value proposition and negotiate client contracts.

Required profile

• 12+ years' experience in foreign exchange or related markets, with at least 5 years in a people-management role, preferably in a large financial institution.
• Deep experience in financial services, banking or related industries; exposure to FX trading platforms preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA or equivalent experience desirable.
• Fluent in English and Korean.
• Proven ability to build, develop and retain high-performing teams, and a strong executive presence.
