Manager, PDC Customer Engineer

About the role

This role leads the PDC Customer Engineer team in Icheon‑Godam, driving customer relationships and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across all levels in the district, conducting regular visits.
• Manage, coach, and direct all customer engineers, handling salary and career planning, performance appraisals and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary interface with Product Divisions for technical support, training, spares and reliability.
• Oversee account planning with the District Sales Engineer and provide support plans for system sales.
• Lead system installation projects, including planning, reporting, pre‑facility and start‑up meetings, and process support identification.
• Manage RMA procedures, financial forecasting, cost efficiency and quarterly CSD Award Program results.

Required profile

• Ability to analyze complex situations and recommend policy changes to meet business objectives.
• Strong leadership skills to provide direction, administer policies and conduct performance reviews.
• Sound judgment to execute escalation procedures and ensure compliance with Applied Materials’ Standards of Business Conduct.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for presenting technical information and gaining cooperation from stakeholders.
