Hotel Assistant Manager (Assistant Front Desk Manager)

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is looking for a Hotel Assistant Manager (Assistant Front Desk Manager), a full-time position reporting to the Director of Rooms. The role oversees Front Desk operations and acts as manager on duty when senior managers are unavailable. The hotel is a 29-storey luxury property in the heart of Seoul, with eight restaurants and bars.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Front Desk operations and act as manager on duty when senior managers are not available.
• Direct staff who perform the duties listed below, and also perform them themselves.
• Welcome and register guests, explain their accommodation and establish credit or method of payment.
• Check guests out, prepare and explain the bill.
• Respond to a wide range of guest requests by assessing needs accurately, adding personal recommendations and touches to maximise satisfaction while complying with Four Seasons policies.

Required profile

• College degree in Hospitality Management.
• At least five years of hotel Rooms Division experience, including at least one to two years in an Assistant Department Head position.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English and Korean.
• Valid work authorization in South Korea.

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel property management systems, especially Opera and Micros Fidelio.
• Strong supervisory and managerial skills, with demonstrated coaching and development abilities.
• Excellent personal presentation, interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
